Powerhouse Late: Gaming wallpaper

Back again in 2023, Powerhouse Late: Gaming returns to Sydney Powerhouse Museum celebrating the artistry and development of videogames!

This year, the event is specifically themed around the Art Behind the Game – diving in to animation, musical composition, narrative creation, concept art and First Nations gaming history. So head to Powerhouse Ultimo on 6th April from 5 – 9pm for the latest Powerhouse Late: Gaming event.

So what is Powerhouse Late: Gaming?

In partnership with the NSW Government through Create NSW, visitors will get a unique opportunity to engage with new and unreleased games designed by local Sydney developers at the Australian Game Developers Showcase. This year at Powerhouse Late: Gaming, the Australian Game Developers Showcase includes unreleased games designed and made by Australian developers and students, including Hojo Studio, Studio Folly, Beethoven & Dinosaur, 2pt Interactive, The Little Guys, Turtle Flip Studio and Lemonades.

There’s also more than videogames, with Tabletop Gaming on offer through a series of boardgames provided by Wizards of the Coast, Board Games BBQ and Good Games Publishing. Get involved in the art of gaming and miniatures through the “Miniatures Paint and Take” with Aetherworks – grab a brush and learn to paint a miniature of your choosing!

There’s plenty more to explore, with a live podcast from The Board Game BBQ, performances from DJ Jadeabella, and role-play games. Join Powerhouse Late: Gaming for an evening of animation, illustration, composition and narrative creation!
